Workshop for Female Documentalists (session 1)

First session of the project Documentary Storytelling with a Personal Voice  was held for its third time on September 10-11 in Tbilisi, Georgia. It was leaded by the trainers Johanna Bernhardson and Karin Ekberg.

The workshop was supported by Swedish Institute and organized by Sakdoc Film. It was open for young filmmakers from Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia, during which participants had an opportunity to develop their film ideas with the support of trainers, focusing on the content and the possible form of their projects. The workshop aims to empower female filmmakers in the beginning of their career as well as to raise an awareness of gender equality behind and in front of the camera.

Nine projects were participating in the workshop:

 Sarca. Director: Durna Safarova (Azerbaijan)

The Encounter. Director: Tatia (Tamar) Skhirtladze (Georgia)

3 (Three). Director: Afsana Yusifova (Azerbaijan) 

Second part of the workshop will be held during Tbilisi International Film Festival in December.

  Workshop for Female Documentary Filmmakers

As part of CinéDoc - Tbilisi International Film Festival, Swedish filmmakers Karin Ekberg and Johanna Bernhardson offer a second workshop for female documentary filmmakers from the South Caucasus region. The workshop is held in collaboration with Sakdoc Film and with the support of The Swedish Institute.
